"BOTOX ™" is short for Botulinum Toxin A, which is produced by a bacterium called Clostridium Botulinum. It was marketed commercially in 1997, although it has been used since 1920. When injected with this substance the muscular nerve signals are blocked, which weaken the muscle so that it cannot contract and this reduces the effects of aging, relaxes wrinkles and provides facial rejuvenation for both men and women.
